Guernsey Welfare Services are an independent Christian charity started in 1896 and our management team, chaired by the Rev Jon Honour, has representatives from a number of churches. They are supported by many denominations of church on the Island including Baptist, Church of England, Methodist, New Frontiers, Catholics and Salvation Army in both practical and prayerful ways. Registered charity number 020 with the Association of Guernsey Charities.

Jon Honour

Jon Honour

As Guernsey Welfare Chairperson, Jon Honour, a well-respected leader within Guernsey's charitable community, has joined the board of SOS Food Angel. Jon brings extensive experience in social welfare, having served as Chairman of Guernsey Welfare Service, where he oversaw critical support services for individuals and families in need. His work at Holy Trinity Church also highlights his deep commitment to community well-being and spiritual care. With a strong background in charity leadership and a passion for helping the most vulnerable, Jon’s addition to the SOS Food Angel board strengthens its mission to combat food insecurity and support local communities.
